According to the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus Alexei Avramenko, the deal may be completed in the near future.

"Bronka" is one of the most attractive assets in the St. Petersburg port. This is a modern deep-water terminal with a number of advantages, Vitaly Chernov, head of the analytics department at PortNews IAA, explained to the WG. A shorter approach channel leads to it than to other terminals, and a ring road is located very close by, along which you can immediately take out goods. There is also a direct access to the railway line. At the same time, the terminal allows handling a wide range of cargo - from containerized to wheeled and oversized. The total capacity of the port is estimated at 23 million tons of cargo per year.

Belarus showed interest in Bronka a year ago. Own terminal will allow Belarus to export fertilizers and reload containers. The need for this will only grow. For example, the industrial park "Great Stone", created under an agreement with China, operates in the republic. The development of their relations will lead to an increase in container traffic between countries. In the conditions of congestion of railways in the Far East, the sea route from China to Bronka can become a way to deliver goods.

By the way, the Belarusians are also planning to build their own port facilities in the Murmansk region.
